Wax
Engagement photo shoot- I had my first engagement shoot on Sunday and I loved it. I loved the location, the couple, and the pictures! You can find the pictures here. 

Free ice cream- coupons! I bought (got for free) cookies n' cream for my husband for being my faithful assistant during the engagement shoot 

Free Choco chips- again, coupon lady! not an extreme coupon girl, but I still love my coupons. Ask anyone. 

Goodwill- There are times when I get a feeling that I should go shopping. It's usually when I get this feeling that I find my most prized buys. This past Saturday I had this shopping feeling, so I took it out on Goodwill. I bought the most pieces of clothing in one night that I think I have ever gotten. I also found Scene It Twilight- so fun! As well as a lemon/orange juicer. I have been rolling my lemons and squeezing by hand. Talk about muscle aches. 

New Friends- The couple I did the engagements for were so sweet! They are an awesome couple. After the shoot the four of us went to dinner at a pizzeria in the city. I am happy to say we have a new couple to double with. 

Spring- I'm thankful for spring when we have those nice 80 degree days! 

Wane
Salsa- All I wanted was Green Mountain Gringo salsa. That's all I needed to go with my dinner on Monday night. After going to 4 stores, because the 1st 3 were out of stock, I finally got my salsa. I was exhausted. 
Cold weather- It was up in the high 80's the last few days of winter, but right when spring started the weather decided to get cold. The past few days have barely made it past 60...

Action Item :: Day 14

Challenge Define your shape.
Here we are instructed to measure body size, but not having measuring tape made it hard to do so. My husband claims I am an hourglass figure, and seeing how I have lots to offer up top and in the hips, I would say that's accurate. My celebrity body dolpeganger is Scarlett Johansen (according to the book). I have been instructed by Hayley to define my shoulders, and think twice about sack dresses.

The No Brainer Wardrobe

Purple Skirt

I went to Goodwill over the weekend and I found some amazing pieces. This skirt is soft, and extra flowy! I have to hem the bottom a bit, but other than that I can't wait to wear it. For the record, I was not actually wearing this skirt the day I took these pictures. I was actually wearing black leggings and an urban top with my rain boots because it was cold and rainy out. I slipped the skirt on over my outfit just to model! I promise I will make a better outfit out of this skirt better when it's warmer.

Beautiful Tree

This post is dedicated to this beautiful tree here in Richmond. If you live here, you are probably familiar with it. If you don't, take in it's beauty! I'm not sure how old this tree is, but it's roots have spread pretty far over the ground. I mean, look how thick those things are! Joel and I consider this tree 'the end of the Maymont walk'. Maymont is a large park here in Richmond with lots and lots of scenery to take in. Joel and I usually walk our way around the park, and make this tree our last stop. To the right of tree are large roots that have grown in the form of stairs. How awesome! We usually take the stairs up to make our way back out of the park. This past Sunday I had an engagement session (preview coming soon) and we did their photos at Maymont. My calve muscles STILL hurt just from walking up the root stairs...

Action Item :: Day 13

Challenge  Visit Jay Miranda and note her confidence. I went to Jay Miranda's blog and I love her style and the way she presents herself! Action Item :: Day 12 

Challenge Make sure you have jeans you feel great in. Go denim shopping, and see if there are new styles you'd look good in and purchase a pair of updated jeans if you're lacking. Do the same for t-shirts.

This challenge is directed to helping achieve a better look when wearing a t-shirt and a pair of jeans. Well, I'm not a t-shirt girl. Nope, not me, and I don't wear jeans very often anymore either. However, while I was shopping for my 'lacking esstentials' I did come across this pair that I liked. 

I do however, love what Hayley has to offer on the effects of layering in this section!

Loving Our Pets

Joel and I haven't taken the path of children, yet, but we sure love our pets! Meet Teddy the dog, and Oliver the cat. Oliver is more Joel's animal, and Teddy is more mine, but we love our little angels. Sometimes I really think Teddy thinks of himself as a cat. He is a bit snobby at times. Oliver on the other hand, has the friendly personality of a dog. Oliver will grab one of his toys (cat toys may I add), and set them down in front of us, then meow until we throw it. Once we have thrown it, what does he do? He brings it back to us and repeats this to create his own game of fetch. Just like a dog. I think they have it backwards.

People Watch

Action Item :: Day 11

Technically this is not today's action item. Today's action item was mostly directed to those in need of how to create a maternity wardrobe. My husband and I are not there yet, one day, but not yet. So one day I will need this challenge, but not quite yet. 

Challenge In the section after the maternity style, Hayley covers the topic of dressing age appropriately. Her challenge is to go somewhere and people watch, search out people within your generation. What do you notice about the people you admirer? I decided to stay inside for this one, and look up celebrities and fellow Blogger's whose style I really admire. Below are pictures of those who inspire. You will see Alexis Bledel, Jennifer Anniston, Lauren Conrad, Rachel Bilson, Mary Kate and Ashley Olsen, Ginnifer Goodwin, blogger Sandra Hagelstam from 5 inch and up, and Sydney Poulton from The Daybook Blog. What I like most about the style of each of these girls is that they all wear bold and classy pieces.
